Emma Raducanu has endured a touch few weeks on the court, with the Asian hard court swing serving up problems for her.
The British No. 1 entered the final stretch of the 2025 season looking to boost her WTA ranking and increase her chances of being seeded for next January's Australian Open.
However, after an encouraging showing in the North American hard court season, the 22-year-old has been unable to showcase her best tennis consistently in Asia.
The world No. 29 endured collapses against Barbora Krejčíková and Jessica Pegula in Korea and Beijing, respectively, despite having match points in both outings where she exited.
Last week in Wuhan, Raducanu was unable to finish her opening round clash with Ann Li due to dizziness and struggles with the humid conditions.
Despite feeling unwell in the Hubei capital, the 2021 US Open singles champion entered the draw for the Ningbo Open to boost her seeding chances for the next Grand Slam event.

However, she appeared out of sorts in her opening contest against Zhu Lin on Tuesday (October 14), as she lost 6-3 4-6 1-6 after having her blood pressure checked and receiving treatment for a recurring back problem during the match.
Raducanu makes big decision after troubles in Asia

Following her struggles on the Asian swing, Raducanu has chosen to cancel all remaining commitments on the court this year and end her season immediately.
Therefore, she will not compete at the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo and the Hong Kong Open despite initial plans to enter those upcoming events.
The Brit has opted to focus on letting her body recover after a long season on the WTA Tour and will now look to be reenergised for 2026.
Raducanu's future development will be overseen by Francisco Roig, after a deal was struck with Rafael Nadal's former trainer to extend their working partnership.
Roig joined the 22-year-old's team on a short-term basis two months ago, but he will now offer his expertise to the player throughout 2026.
Raducanu has a pre-season camp scheduled for the end of the year, where she will look to refine her game ahead of the Australian Open.
