Carlos Alcaraz triumphed in the 2025 US Open final on Sunday (September 7) to secure his second title at Flushing Meadows.
The Spaniard produced a scintillating performance to take down Jannik Sinner 6-2 3-6 6-1 6-4 in New York.
The victory means Alcaraz has regained his spot as the world no. 1 from Sinner and he now boasts an impressive six career Grand Slam titles to his name at just 22.
In addition to his two titles in the Big Apple, the Spanish superstar has won both Wimbledon and the French Open on two occasions.
Naturally, tennis fans will want to compare Alcaraz' success to stars of the past before they turned 23.
The renowned "Big 3", which consisted of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, are often compared to Alcaraz.

How many major titles did the "Big 3" have at Alcaraz' age?

Roger Federer
Roger Federer won three Grand Slam titles before he turned 23, as he had triumphed at Wimbledon twice and won a sole Australian Open title.
The Swiss tennis icon went on to win 20 Grand Slam singles titles, with Wimbledon being his favourite of the majors as he lifted the title at SW19 on eight occasions.
Rafael Nadal
Like his compatriot Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal also had six major titles to his name before turning 23, as he had won at Roland Garros four times, in addition to picking up maiden title wins at Wimbledon and the Australian Open.
Nadal finished his career with 22 Grand Slams, including a record 14 French Open singles titles.
Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic's triumph at the 2008 Australian Open happened to be just the one major title he had amassed prior to turning 23.
This was mainly due to him breaking through during the period when Federer and Nadal were dominating the men's game.
However, he has gone on to win a men's singles record of 24 Grand Slams and still has ambitions of adding to that now despite being 38 years of age.
Djokovic faced Alcaraz in the Spaniard's Wimbledon final wins in 2023 and 2024.
The pair recently competed against one another in the 2025 US Open semi-final, with Alcaraz seeing off the Serbian in straight sets.
