The stage is set at Old Trafford and we are close to finding out the winners of the 30th Super League season on Saturday night.

The bookmakers are far from confident when it comes to predicting the favourites to win UK Rugby League's biggest prize. The latest betting implies that the favourite has around a 20% greater chance of lifting the trophy. 

Will it be a three-peat for the Wigan Warriors? Or will Hull KR avenge last season's Grand Final defeat? Let's look at the latest betting odds.

Who is the favourite to win the Grand Final?

The bookmakers make Wigan the favourites to lift the trophy on Saturday night at a best price of 8/13 on Betway. Hull KR are a 13/10 chance on SpreadEx.

In the 1x2 market including the match draw, Wigan are 8/11 to prevail on AK Bets, while Hull KR are 33/20 and the draw 18/1 (with the same bookmaker).

How do the Super League playoffs work?

The top six finishers in the regular Super League season contest the playoffs over three weekends of matches (five matches in total).

  • The first weekend sees 3rd play 6th and 4th play 5th in a pair of eliminators. 
  • The second weekend pairs 2nd place against the highest ranked winner from the eliminators and the league leaders against the lowest ranked winner from the eliminators in the semi-finals.
  • The Grand Final features the winners of the two semi-finals.

Wigan Route to Grand Final

Having finished 2nd in the Super League table, the semi-final opponents for the Wigan Warriors were the Leigh Leopards - the highest ranked team to progress from the eliminators. The Warriors prevailed 18-6, largely thanks to a brace of tries from Australian stand-off Bevan French.

Hull KR Route to Grand Final

Centre Oliver Gildart scored twice as table toppers Hull KR came through as 20-12 semi-final winners against St Helens (Saints) - the lowest ranked winner from the eliminators.

Wigan vs Hull KR Head to Head

A 10-6 win for Hull KR in the last meeting between the two sides in August broke a sequence of four straight wins for the Warriors dating back to May 2024.
