During the past month, WNBA games have frequently been interrupted by fans throwing sex toys onto the court. The first sex toy was thrown onto a WNBA court on July 29, and it continued over the course of a week until a cryptocurrency group took responsibility for it.
On Aug. 21, the police arrested one man who threw a sex toy during an Aug. 5 Liberty game that hit a 12-year-old fan. Now, the trend seems to have made its way to the NFL, as something similar happened in Nashville on Friday night.
Here's what happened.

The toy wound up on the six-yard line late in the fourth quarter but did not interrupt the game. Someone retrieved the toy and gave it to a security guard before the game approached the area.

According to the Associated Press, the Titans identified those responsible and notified the Metro Nashville Police Department of the incident.
It's unclear if this incident had anything to do with the outbreak during WNBA games or was spearheaded by the crypto company that took credit for some of the WNBA incidents, but either way, the NFL surely does not want this to become a trend, be it in the preseason or regular season.
