The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still annoyed that they let Thursday night's game slip through their fingers.

Up 28-14 in the fourth quarter against the Atlanta Falcons, the offense stumbled, and the defense couldn't get a stop as Kirk Cousins led a superb comeback that embarrassed the Buccaneers.

With plenty of blame to go around on both sides of the ball, with Todd Bowles' defense horrific, and Baker Mayfield and Co. Unable to score enough points.

For Mike Evans, who marked his return to the team with a monster 132-yard game, does he think the unit has to score more than 28 points each week?

“Absolutely,” Evans said. “As a offense, especially with the amount of talented players that we have, we're going to go out there and put up way more than that. Especially after we watch film and see how much meat we left on the bone, it's unacceptable for offense of this caliber.”

Does Evans have unrealistic expectations for offense?

You could make that case, but every offense wants to score touchdowns on every single drive, but that isn't reality.

In truth, 28 points should have been more than enough for the Buccaneers to beat the Falcons, and as far as Evans saying 28 points is unacceptable for the offense, looking around the league, Tampa Bay should be happy with that.

Only six teams average 28 points or more per game.

So, it isn't an easy thing to do week in, week out, but that is the standard given the abundance of weapons on the offensive side of the ball.

At least we know the pass mark this week in Carolina for the Buccaneers -- score more than 28 points.
