One thing we know about Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is that he wears his emotions on his sleeve, and you either like it, or you don't.

And in truth, Baker likely doesn't care either way, he's doing it his way, and two a bit seasons in Tampa Bay, Mayfield has been embraced by the franchise and the city. Oh, and it helps that he's winning a lot of games too.

Against the Seattle Seahawks, Baker was captured having a rather heated back-and-forth exchange with a Seahawks fan in the tunnel pre-game, and with the Buccaneers winning 38-35, you better believe Baker went back at that fan as he disappeared down the tunnel.

Personally, it was all good theater, and when asked this week if he needs to play pissed off, Baker simply loves the back-and-forth.

“I don't," Mayfield said. "It's just, it's as a competitor, I enjoy it, and that's something that I think our team as a whole is kind of wound like that. So, I enjoy it.”

Buccaneers genuine NFC threat

Sitting at 4-1 after downing Seattle, the Buccaneers are exactly who we thought they'd be - a contender.

Also, keep in mind that Mayfield and the Bucs are doing this with injuries galore on both sides of the ball, which makes it even more impressive, and now there is a real chance to make some noise in 2025.

With Baker being "Baker" and not taking a backwards step when it comes to being his true self, there is no denying that the locker room is feeding off of that energy, and when you have everyone going in the same direction, generally, good things happen.

Yeah, Mayfield's a competitor, and a tough one at that, and he's not afraid to tell you what he really thinks...even if you're a fan trying to get inside his head.
