The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will head into their Week 5 clash off the back of their first loss of the year, and are dealing with an incredible injury list.

Such is the magnitude of the injuries, head coach Todd Bowles stated, somewhat jokingly, that on Wednesday, there were more players on the injury report than there were available to practice.

There were 15 players on the injury report, with only three listed as full participants and another three in a limited capacity. For Mayfield, it's all hands on deck ahead of Seattle.

“I think from an offensive perspective, not having a bunch of the guys the first few weeks, we were getting tested early,” Mayfield said. “Handled it well when it comes to just finding ways to get wins. But got to start faster. Got to be the aggressor, not wait to whether it gets chippy or get hit in the mouth once. We got to come out swinging. So, that's the thing that we're looking to get fixed. It's going to be a good test on the road.”

Buccaneers face red-hot Seahawks in Week 5

Sam Darnold has been cooking with the Seahawks in the first month of the season, leading them to a 3-1 record, with the defense getting multiple turnovers in three of their four games.

That is something Mayfield, with a lack of weapons and offensive line help, will need to be cognizant of. With no Mike Evans and possibly Bucky Irving, along with a beaten-up offensive line, Sunday's game feels like the very definition of adversity.

And Mayfield is running headfirst into it.

Tampa Bay stumbled for the first time in Week 4, and to rectify that, a win on the road against the Seahawks looms as a tall order, but it's one that can be accomplished.
