Aaron Rodgers endured an eventful outing on the field on Thursday Night Football (October 16), when he and his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates faced the Cincinnati Bengals.

The star quarterback saw his team fall to a 33-31 loss on the road to their AFC North rivals, handing them a first defeat since Week 2 and placing the team at 4-2.

Mike Tomlin's team were unable to come away with the divisional win despite Rodgers recording four touchdown passes and throwing for 249 passing yards.

The 41-year-old's display also featured some costly errors as he turned the ball over twice, with safety Jordan Battle and cornerback DJ Turner || intercepting the NFL veteran.

After kicker Evan McPherson gave the Bengals the lead from a successful 36-yard field goal attempt with just seconds remaining, Rodgers failed with an audacious Hail Mary attempt from around the Steelers' 30-yard line to snatch a victory.

The future NFL hall-of-fame inductee officially moved up to fifth in the all-time list for most passing yards completed in the league thanks to his outing in Cincinnati.

The four-time MVP, who is in his 21st NFL season, now sits with 64,222 career passing yards, which has seen him surpass Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger on the list.

Roethlisberger recorded 64,088 passing yards during his 18-season stay with The Black and Gold in the NFL, and now drops to sixth in the all-time passing record book.

Rodgers' latest feat is impressive considering he spent the first three seasons of his NFL career being the back-up to Brett Favre with the Green Bay Packers.

He also spent his first season with the New York Jets in 2023 out with an Achilles injury.
