The Philadelphia Eagles went up 21-0 on the Dallas Cowboys in the first half of their Week 12 matchup. Even at halftime, the score was 21-7 with Dallas finding the endzone late in the second quarter.
The Eagles were riding high at the half and even got the ball to start the third quarter. Still, when the dust settled on the game, the Cowboys came away with the 24-21 win. Dallas kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired and scored 24 unanswered points in a comeback win to move to 5-5-1.
Philadelphia moved to 8-3 on the season and has a quick turnaround to face the Chicago Bears on Friday. Both head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts acknowledged that they want to look at the tape to clean some stuff up, but know they need to quickly get past the loss to get ready for Friday's game.

Nick Sirianni postgame comments in Week 12
Sirianni maintained that the Cowboys made the necessary halftime adjustments, and that the Eagles didn't. He was asked after the game if he thought the team took its foot off the gas in the second-half. Sirriani said that they didn't and reiterated that the team always strives for a balanced offensive attack between running and passing the ball. That could have been part of the problem: Philadelphia ran the ball 18 times but passed it 39. It is also worth noting that 10 of those carries were by star running back Saquon Barkley, and he only tallied 22 yards.

The other big part of the loss was Philadelphia's lack of discipline. The Eagles were flagged 14 times during the game, the most in a game since Sirianni's first year at the helm. Sirianni harped on the need for better discipline and said Philadelphia "needs to master the things that require no talent."
Sirianni acknowledged that the Eagles have to make quick adjustments before their next game on Friday against Chicago. He said, "At the end of the day, we weren't good enough," and his message to the team was, "Get up. We've got a short week."

Jalen Hurts postgame comments in Week 12
Hurts, like Sirianni, attempted to put the loss on himself, saying that he didn't do enough in the game. The quarterback finished 27-39 passing for 289 yards with a touchdown. He also led the team with 33 rushing yards and had two rushing touchdowns on his seven carries. Hurts said that the Eagles have to figure out a way to finish games. "We gotta find a way to finish the game. We didn't play a complete game. Today, it got us. We played a hell of a first half, we didn't play close to our standard in the second half."
Like Sirianni, Hurts said that the team needs to "control the things we can on offense that take no talent." The quarterback closed with, "It's human nature to be defeated after something negative happens in a game, but as a competitor, it is how you respond. We've been here before, we'll figure it out."
