Broadcasting the Super Bowl is seen as the pinnacle for television networks, which is why several different ones bid to earn the rights for the big game year after year. Last year, a whopping 127.7 million viewers watched the Philadelphia Eagles' 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, making it the most-watched Super Bowl ever.
2026's Super Bowl will mark a busy month of February for the host network that gets the honor.

Who is broadcasting the Super Bowl in 2026?
NBC is broadcasting Super Bowl 60 between the future AFC and NFC champions on Feb. 8, 2026.
The network is part of a rotation between four other networks in Fox, CBS and ABC for the game. As part of the NBC's current deal, the network gets to broadcast the Super Bowl during the same year its hosting the Winter Olympics, also taking place in Feb. 2026.
The game will also be streamed on NBC's app, Peacock.
The Super Bowl airing on NBC marks the first time the network has hosted the game since 2022, the same year the network held the last Winter Olympics.
Normally Super Bowl 59 would be NBC's spot in the rotation; however, the network flipped with Fox so it could cover Super Bowl 60, which coincides ahead of the 2026 Summer Olympics on NBC.

How much does it cost to broadcast the Super Bowl?
Instead of the NFL selling the rights to the game individually, the cost to cover the Super Bowl is included in what networks pay to broadcast NFL games in general.
CBS, Fox and NBC are all paying upwards of $2 billion to host games in the current television deals, which started in 2023 and go through 2033. ABC, which includes ESPN, paid $2.7 billion.
These numbers are more than double what each side paid under the previous deal, which was in place before the new contracts were agreed upon in 2021.

Super Bowl announcers: Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth
NFL fans will be pretty used to the Super Bowl announcing crew. It is composed of NBC's "Sunday Night Football" crew in play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth. This will mark Collinsworth's fourth Super Bowl, previously doing so alongside Al Michaels in years past.
It will also mark the first time that Tirico calls a Super Bowl for the first time in his career. He will also be leading NBC's coverage from Italy for the Winter Olympics, so it will be a busy month for the longtime broadcaster.
