Where is Snoop Dogg from?

Snoop Dogg was born in Long Beach, California, just to the south of Los Angeles, and he attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School.

Snoop Dogg has long lived in Diamond Bar, California, which sits northwest of Long Beach and to the west of Los Angeles. He wore his roots on his sleeve early in his rap career, with plenty of songs referencing Southern California.

Snoop Dogg has remained in touch with the community in Southern California even while jetting across the world for tours and media coverage. He helped provide support for wildfire victims in early 2025, giving out clothes from his store in Inglewood, and telling Jimmy Kimmel he was "pushing buttons and making things happen" to make sure victims were getting what they needed.

Snoop Dogg also purchased a home in Douglasville, Georgia in 2021, but giving himself a place to stay closer to the east coast, but he is a Southern California man through-and-through.

What's Snoop Dogg's favorite NFL team?

Snoop Dogg is a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, despite him performing at halftime of the Minnesota Vikings' game against the Detroit Lions on Christmas Day in 2025.

The Rams were based in Los Angeles during Snoop Dogg's childhood and actually were quite successful during his younger years, but Snoop explained on NBC's "Sunday Night Football" broadcast why he became a Steelers fan.

"Watching them in the 70s, seeing them do what they do. Mean Joe Greene, that commercial, man, that commercial meant everything to the kids," Snoop Dogg said, referencing the famous commercial in which Green tosses a Coca-Cola bottle to a young fan.

"Watching them just go hard in the 70s and win back-to-back...it won me over," he added. The Steelers won four Super Bowls in the 1970s, including back-to-back titles when Snoop Dogg was seven and eight years old. Much like the Dallas Cowboys' dynasty two decades later, the Steelers' run of dominance created a generation of fans far beyond Pennsylvania.

Despite falling in love with the Steelers over Greene's commercial, Snoop Dogg said Hall of Fame DB Mel Blount was his favorite player.
