JUMP TO:

"Thursday Night Football" is back! Not just because it is Thursday night, but because the game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos was an absolute snorefest like we became accustomed to in this primetime slot.

The Raiders took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter as rookie running back Ashton Jeanty punched in a goal line carry. The Broncos responded with a touchdown in the second quarter as quarterback Bo Nix found his college teammate Troy Franklin for the seven-yard score. Wil Lutz's 32-yard field goal with five seconds left in the third quarter ended up being the game-winner in a bad football game.

Nix finished the game 16-28 passing for 150 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Raiders quarterback Geno Smith finished 16-26 for 143 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. He suffered a lower-body injury and showed heart playing through it down the stretch of the game.

Las Vegas will host the Dallas Cowboys for "Monday Night Football" in Week 11, while Denver hosts the Kansas City Chiefs

Raiders vs. Broncos updates, highlights from 'Thursday Night Football'

All times ET.

Fourth Quarter

11:17 p.m. -- The Broncos drive begins with Dobbins getting a carry and picking up eight yards. There is 4:30 left in the game, so the Broncos will likely look to eat some clock. Dobbins picked up one-yard on first down and then Nix hit Franklin for a gain of 18.

After a Raiders penalty, Dobbins picked up four, and then got stuffed. Nix went up the middle for a yard and got the first down forcing the Raiders to use their final timeout with 2:18 left.

Dobbins picked up seven to get to the two-minute warning. The running back then picked up five yards and a fresh set of downs. The Broncos got in victory formation, and this lackluster football game is in the books.

11:08 p.m. -- Smith went back into the injury tent, but returned to the field. Jeanty picked up six on first down and five on second down. The rookie running back picked up three and then one. Smith was forced to scramble and threw the ball away.

Daniel Carlson missed the 48-yard field goal wide right.

11:01 p.m. -- Nix began the drive with a five-yard pass to Engram. Harvey then picked up no yardage on second down. Nix's third down pass hit off Franklin and was picked off.

10:56 p.m. -- Geno came out of the tent and got his helmet during Denver's drive. He is back in the game and wastes little time having an impact, connecting with Tucker for 25 yards. Jeanty then brought in a short pass and picked up four. Smith then hit Lockett for a gain of 19 to get across midfield.

Smith is hobbling in the backfield after taking multiple hits this drive. Jeanty went up the middle for a yard and then Smith hit Lockett to the left for another yard. On third and long, Smith was sacked.

Las Vegas chose to punt to try to pin Denver deep, but not before a false start pushes them back.

10:48 p.m. -- Nix started the drive finding Sutton for four yards, but he then missed Franklin deep, who had to stop and come back for the ball. The drive ends with an incomplete pass.

10:42 p.m. -- Following the kickoff and the quarter change, Las Vegas went with a creative play sending several players in motion. It ended up with Smith scrambling, and he got hurt when he was tripped up and tackled. Backup quarterback Kenny Pickett will come into the game for at least one play.

After the QB change, Jeanty lost two yards. Pickett then missed Jack Bech on third down and Las Vegas will punt.

Third Quarter

FIELD GOAL -- Broncos 10, Raiders 7

10:34 p.m. -- The Broncos have their best field position of the night. Nix ran to the left and lost two yards. He then missed Engram. Nix then checked down to Franklin, but for no gain.

Lutz hit a 32-yard field goal with five seconds left in the third quarter.

10:32 p.m. -- Jeanty picked up three yards on first down. Smith then gets flagged for intentional grounding. On third and 20, Mostert ran up the middle for four yards, and the Raiders will punt.

Cole, who had been stunning all night had his punt blocked. Denver recovered and took it to the 12-yard line.

10:26 p.m. -- Dobbins got stuffed for no gain, and then Franklin got whistled for offensive pass interference. Dobbins picked up two yards, but then left the field with an injury. Nix found Adam Trautman for two yards, but it didn't get Denver the first down and it had to punt, unable to take advantage of the field position.

10:20 p.m. -- The Raiders' possession was short-lived. Smith's pass couldn't be hauled in by Jeanty and popped in the air. It was intercepted by Denver's defense.

10:16 p.m. -- Dobbins picked up nine yards between the first two carries of the drive. Nix tried to QB sneak it and they were given the first down. The Denver QB then hit fullback Adam Prentice for a gain of 13. Dobbins picked up 16 yards between three straight carries.

Nix hit Harvey for seven yards, and then the running back picked up seven on the ground after a false start. Denver tried to get creative, but Sutton was sacked for a loss of five. Wil Lutz then missed a 59-yard field goal.

10:05 p.m. -- Jeanty picked up five yards on first down, and then he ran for three yards on second down to set up third-and-two. After a Raiders timeout, Smith missed Lockett and Las Vegas will punt.

10:00 p.m. -- Rough start for the Broncos in the half. They got whistled for holding on the kick return, and then a false start on first down. After the penalty, Dobbins began the drive with a two-yard gain. Nix tried to hit Harvey, but was pressured in the endzone and didn't want to take a sack, so he rushed it. Harvey dropped it for an incompletion.

The drive stalls and Nix missed Bryant. The Broncos will punt.

End of Half -- Broncos 7, Raiders 7

Second quarter

9:43 p.m. -- Smith missed Thornton deep down the field on first down. He hit Lockett for a gain of nine, but there are only 15 seconds left in the half.

Trying to get into field goal range, Smith shoveled the ball to Jeanty on the left side, who got tackled almost immediately and lost seven yards. This brought up the end of the first half.

9:39 p.m. -- On the other side of the two-minute warning and the punt, Denver starts on its own 27-yard line. Nix tried to hit third-string running back Tyler Badie, but the pass fell incomplete. Nix then found Engram over the middle for a gain of seven. He followed that up with a 13-yard reception to Bryant, but it was brought back due to offensive pass interference.

Nix then found Sutton for 14 yards, but then had a false start. The quarterback then missed Franklin on a deep pass down the right side. Nix scrambled and launched a pass into double coverage. It was intercepted and returned 26 yards.

9:32 p.m. -- Smith tried to scramble forward, but ended up being tackled before gaining any yards. Jeanty picked up four yards on second down, and then Smith was sacked for six yards. This brought up the two-minute warning before the fourth down punt.

TOUCHDOWN -- Broncos 7, Raiders 7

9:24 p.m. -- Dobbins picks up the first, first down for the Broncos in the game with a 13-yard run. After an offensive holding, Nix found Harvey for a one-yard gain. The quarterback then scrambled and found Pat Bryant in space for a 43-yard gain to get down to the five-yard line.

Harvey lost two yards on first down. Nix hit a slanting Franklin over the middle for the score.

9:18 p.m. -- Smith missed Tucker on first down, and the Raiders got flagged for illegal touching. Las Vegas tried to get cute with a Bowers end around, but he lost four yards on the play.

On third and 14, Smith hit Mayer for a nine-yard pick up. The Raiders lined up to go for it, but Smith got sacked for a turnover on downs.

9:14 p.m. -- Nix begins the drive finding Dobbins for a seven-yard gain. He then hits Franklin for a gain of two. Nix scrambles to his left on third down and tries to hit tight end Evan Engram downfield, but misses him.

Denver is still searching for its first first down of the night.

9:09 p.m. -- Jeanty picked up one yard on first down. Smith hung Mayer out to dry, and he got obliterated by a defender, unable to hold onto the check-down. Smith finally gets on the same page with Bowers, as the tight end picks up 31.

The Raider QB then threw one left on a swing pass to Jeanty, but it fell incomplete. Smith then sends a wide receiver screen pass to the right, but Tucker only picked up three yards.

Smith aired the ball out to Tucker, but it fell incomplete. Denver was flagged for offsides, and it became third and two instead of third and seven. Smith went to sneak the ball up the middle, but made no progress.

Las Vegas decided to go for it on fourth down. Smith found Tucker for a 31-yard score, but an offensive pass interference call nullified it. The Raiders decided to punt.

A.J. Cole again punts a ball within the one-yard line.

9:01 p.m. -- Las Vegas punter A.J. Cole fumbled the snap, but was able to recover it and still get his punt off. Nix hit rookie running back RJ Harvey for a one-yard gain, but a holding penalty put them back 10 yards on the play. Harvey then picked up four yards on first down, before Nix missed Courtland Sutton on second down. On third and 16, Nix hit Troy Franklin for 13 yards, but the momentum brought Franklin short of the first down.

Denver lined up to go for it on fourth and three. They ended up taking the delay of game penalty after Las Vegas didn't jump offside.

8:53 p.m. -- After the break, Smith looks for Brock Bowers, but missed him for the second time in the game. On third-and-12, Smith was sacked for a loss of six. Las Vegas has to punt.

First quarter

8:49 p.m. -- Jeanty started the next drive off with a carry up the middle for 10 yards. He then took a pass from Smith six yards. Jeanty almost had a gain of 32, but it was called back due to holding and it brought up the end of the first quarter.

8:43 p.m. -- Quarterback Bo Nix attempted his first pass of the night for a gain of six yards. The Raiders defense got the yards right back by sacking him for a loss of nine yards. He then missed Evan Engram on third down and the Broncos had back-to-back three-and-outs to begin the game.

TOUCHDOWN -- Raiders 7, Broncos 0

8:36 p.m. -- Jeanty started the drive with a carry for no gain. Smith swung a pass to the right to Raheem Mostert who picked up 11 yards and moved the chains.

Tre Tucker then had an end around where he picked up seven. Smith then found backup tight end Michael Mayer for 11 yards to get into the redzone. Jeanty picked up six, and then Mayer had a nice one-handed grab, but picked up only two yards. Jeanty then punched it in from six yards out.

8:31 p.m. -- The Broncos have their work cut out for them and have to go the length of the field after the Las Vegas punter landed the punt at the 1-yard line. J.K. Dobbins begins the drive with a six-yard rush up the middle. He then takes the next carry two yards, and a third consecutive carry for one yard.

The wind is whipping, which could be why the Broncos chose to keep the ball on the ground, but it resulted in a three-and-out.

8:25 p.m. -- Denver won the coin toss and elected to defer. Las Vegas' first play of the game was a run by Ashton Jeanty for no gain. Smith's first pass in the post-Meyers era was to Dont'e Thornton for a gain of four. He then hit Tyler Lockett for a gain of six.

Seattle's offensive plan on the first drive has been to chip away yardage. Jeanty picked up five yards on a carry, and then quarterback Geno Smith picked up six on a rush of his own. Another Jeanty gain of five, and a Lockett gain of nine were the last plays of the drive. The Raiders had a false start and Smith was sacked for a nine-yard loss before Las Vegas punted.

Pre-game

8:15 p.m. -- Before the national anthem, the NFL held a moment of silence for Marshawn Kneeland, the Dallas Cowboys player who passed away suddenly on November 6.

8:01 p.m. -- We are about 15 minutes from kickoff. This matchup looks bad on paper, but it is an important AFC West divisional matchup. The Broncos have a chance for the best record in the NFL with a win, and the Raiders can look to pull off a big upset.

Another storyline to watch in the game is the Las Vegas passing attack. This will be the first game since Jakobi Meyers was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars at the NFL trade deadline.

7:55 p.m. -- The Raiders will be wearing silver helmets and pants, but rather than their classic black jerseys, will be rocking white jerseys on the road in Denver.

7:25 p.m. -- The Broncos will be wearing throwback uniforms for the game. Denver will don blue helmets, orange jerseys and white pants and will feature the throwback logo.

7:05 p.m. -- We are a little over an hour from kickoff. Both teams have released their inactives for the game.
