The NFL had a loaded Thanksgiving slate. There were three games throughout the day, with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Dallas Cowboys in the second game.
Games on Thanksgiving have been given a partial Super Bowl treatment. They are in standalone primetime slots, and the NFL has made a point to give fans top-tier entertainment during halftime. While most halftime shows during the regular season are not shown on the broadcast, the Thanksgiving shows now come with a stage setup and are broadcast just like the Super Bowl.
This year, the halftime act for the Chiefs-Cowboys game is musical artist Post Malone. The singer sang three total songs. He led off with "Wrong Ones" from his new album "F1 Trillion." His final song, "I Had Some Help," also comes from his new country album. Sandwiched in the middle was "Wow," which is from his third studio album, but has a line in it about Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott.
Malone had big shoes to fill. He is a huge musical act, but Jack White, who played the Lions-Packers halftime show, crushed it and set the bar very high for the rest of the day.
AllSportsPeople tracked live updates and reviews of Malone's halftime show during Cowboys vs. Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day.

Post Malone halftime show reviews
The halftime show ran for about 7 minutes. Whether deserved or not, Malone's performance will be compared to White's earlier in the day. The Detroit crowd ate up the early performance and erupted when Eminem surprised fans by singing a song. Malone didn't use any surprise guests and went with a country song, an older song, and then back to a country song.
Some fans weren't excited when it became clear that Malone would mainly highlight his most recent album, his first step into country music.

Many fans were critical of how Malone sounded. His earlier music utilized more auto-tune and while there was some of that for this performance, many thought that he didn't sound right.
If you had no idea who Post Malone was, you’d never guess this guy is an even remotely successful musician.

This is 15 beers deep karaoke bad.
Truly embarrassing stuff.
While not exactly a review, the specialists from both teams were treated to the show. Their position group is usually the first to come out of halftime to get kicks in ahead of the second half so they wanted to be ready to go when the show ended.

However, not everyone had a bad time during the show. The songs are pretty catchy even if Malone may have sounded off.

Post Malone halftime show start time
- 5:45 p.m. ET/4:45 p.m. CT (approximate time)
It is hard to nail down an exact time that Malone's halftime show will begin. It all depends on the pace of play between the Chiefs and the Cowboys. If the teams keep the ball on the ground and keep the clock running, then it could be as early as 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT. How long is the Post Malone halftime show?
In general, NFL halftimes last about 13 minutes, so any entertainment has to be quick. The league will relax this timeframe when there is a big performance for a primetime game. For example, the Super Bowl halftime typically lasts 25-30 minutes, with the musical performance usually being 12 to 15 minutes.
The Thanksgiving halftime show gets more attention than a typical halftime show, but doesn't receive the full allotment a Super Bowl halftime show does. Malone can be expected to perform for about eight to ten minutes.
