The NFL international series headed to Germany in 2025.

The league had held games in Brazil, England and Ireland before finishing the slate with a game in Spain later in the season. The NFL returned to Germany for the fourth straight season, making these games more of a staple on the schedule each year.

The 2025 game served as a home game for Indianapolis, as they "hosted" the Falcons. Here's more to know about the venue in which they clashed.

Where is Falcons vs. Colts being played?

The Week 10 matchup between the Falcons and Colts was played at Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany, which is also known as Olympiastadion. It was the first time an NFL game was played in Berlin and only the fourth time that the league sent teams to Germany in general.

Previously, the NFL sent games to either Munich or Frankfurt, but the league decided to make its Berlin debut this year in the lone Germany game of the season.

Olympic Stadium location

Olympic Stadium is located in the western part of Berlin, Germany, and is the biggest stadium in city. This marked the first time that the NFL played a game in Berlin since scheduling Germany games.

Olympic Stadium has a capacity of  74,475 people, which makes it the third-largest venue in Germany, only behind Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund and Allianz Arena in Munich.

When was Olympic Stadium built?

Germany built Olympic Stadium in Berlin during the early 1930s, ahead of the 1936 Summer Olympics. It opened for those Olympics on Aug. 1, 1936 and has since been home to several big events in Germany's capital.

Who plays at Olympic Stadium?

Olympic Stadium has been the home stadium for Bundesliga's Hertha Berlin since 1963 for all but one season. However, the stadium is also one of the main venues whenever Germany hosts big events, such as the Olympics, the World Cup and the Euros.

Olympiastadion was the host for the 2006 World Cup Final, the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final and six 2024 UEFA Euro matches.

The NFL has played five games in Germany, all coming since 2022, which includes two games during the 2023 season. Of those four games, two were played in Munich, while both games in 2023 were played in Frankfurt.
