NFL playoff picture for Week 10
AFC

1. Indianapolis Colts 8-2 (first place, AFC South)
The Colts rallied to beat the Falcons in overtime in Berlin to open Sunday's action. They matched the record of the Broncos, who outlasted the Raiders on Thursday night and have the tiebreaker based on beating Denver at home in Week 2. The Colts will enjoy a Week 11 bye before a big AFC interdivision showdown vs. The Chiefs in Kansas in Week 12.
2. Denver Broncos 8-2 (first place, AFC West)
The Broncos made sure they wouldn't lose any ground on the Colts or the Patriots with their win over the Raiders. Denver also gets Kansas City next, in a big AFC West matchup at home in Week 12.
3. New England Patriots 7-2 (first place, AFC West)
The Patriots are a half-game up on the Bills with the extra win, with their bye still coming. They likely will need to beat the Buccaneers to keep first place, with the Bills playing the Dolphins on Sunday.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers 5-3 (first place, AFC North)
The Steelers needed that Week 9 home win against the Colts to feel more confident about holding off the rebounding Ravens, whom they lead by two full game,s with the teams' two matchups coming in the second half. They get another challenge in the Chargers on the road in Week 10.
5. Buffalo Bills 6-2 (second place, AFC East)
The Bills will hope to get back in first place with a win over the Dolphins and a Patriots loss to the Buccaneers. For now, they lose the head-to-head tiebreaker to the Patriots after losing to them at home in Week 5.
6. Los Angeles Chargers 6-3 (second place, AFC West)
The Chargers are two games behind the Broncos and a game ahead of the Chiefs, well-positioned to return to the playoffs for Jim Harbaugh as at least a wild card. They get a good test at home on Sunday night vs. The Steelers.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars 5-3 (second place, AFC South)
The Jaguars hold this spot by a half-game and head-to-head tiebreaker over the three-time reigning AFC champion Chiefs. They will try to sweep the season series from the Texans in Houston on Sunday.
Who's in the hunt?
8. Kansas City Chiefs (5-4)
9. Houston Texans (3-5)
10. Baltimore Ravens (3-5)
11. Cincinnati Bengals (3-6)
The Chiefs are in an unusual situation, sitting on the outside of the playoff picture during their Week 10 bye. The Texans need to beat the Jaguars on Sunday to improve their fading wild-card chances. The Ravens are still hoping they can rally to win the AFC North, in which the Bengals are fading.
Who's left?
12. Las Vegas Raiders (2-6)
13. Cleveland Browns (2-6)
14. Miami Dolphins (2-7)
15. New York Jets (1-7)
16. Tennessee Titans (1-8)
The Raiders are the odd team out in the loaded AFC West with no wild-card chance. The Browns and Jets will help clear up more of the draft-order picture when they play each other on Sunday. The Dolphins are in danger of a second-half freefall. The Titans are guaranteed not to lose in Week 10 while on a bye.

NFC

1. Philadelphia Eagles 6-2 (first place, NFC East)
The Eagles are back in the driver's seat for their Super Bowl title defense. Home field is in their full control, with key wins over the Buccaneers and Rams so far and they can also take care of the Packers' tiebreaker in Lambeau Field on Monday night.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-2 (first place, NFC South)
The Buccaneers have a tough interconference matchup with the Patriots as they try to either keep pace with or gain ground on the Eagles and Seahawks. They also need to keep winning to hold off the upstart Panthers in the division.
3. Seattle Seahawks 6-2 (first place, NFC West)
The Seahawks own the division tiebreaker over the Rams with a better conference record (1-1 vs. 0-1) and also are half-game up on the 49ers, to whom they lost in Week 1. They will maintain their lead with a win and season sweep of the Cardinals.
4. Green Bay Packers 5-2-1 (first place, NFC North)
The Packers fell down here from No. 1 after getting stunned by the Panthers at home in Week 9. They need to make some ground in the race for the top seed by beating the Eagles at home on Monday.
5. Los Angeles Rams 6-2 (second place, NFC West)
The Rams are a tiebreaker down to the Seahawks and already lost once to the 49ers at home, so it becomes critical they win at San Francisco on Sunday to improve their division-winning chances.
6. San Francisco 49ers 6-3 (third place, NFC West)
The 49ers will look to jump the Rams by beating them at home and completing a key season sweep. San Francisco also controls division play so far at 3-0 with previous wins over Seattle, Los Angeles and Arizona.
7. Detroit Lions 5-3 (second place, NFC North)
The Lions failed to close the gap on the losing Packers in Week 9 when they got upset at home by the fourth-place Vikings. They will look to get hot in the second half, starting at Washington, to take back the division for a third consecutive division title.
Who's in the hunt?
8. Chicago Bears 5-3
9. Carolina Panthers 5-4
10. Minnesota Vikings 4-4
11. Dallas Cowboys 3-5-1
12. Arizona Cardinals 3-5
13. Atlanta Falcons 3-6
14. Washington Commanders 3-6
The Bears lose the tiebreaker to the Lions because of starting 0-2 in the division. The Vikings also cannot be ruled out from making a run, making the NFC North a tough race the rest of the way. The Panthers are a pleasant surprise, but the NFC South title remains their best playoff path. The Cowboys and Commanders look challenged to make a wild-card run behind the Eagles.
Who's left?
15. New York Giants 2-7
16. New Orleans Saints 1-8
Jaxson Dart has given the Giants their franchise quarterback, a bright spot for the future. The Saints likely will need to find their QB answer at the top of the 2026 draft.
