While the Cleveland Browns are just 3-12 on the season, Myles Garrett is on the precipice of history.

The star pass rusher is currently producing one of the best seasons in NFL history, as he is on pace to break Michael Strahan’s record for most sacks in a single season. Garrett has steadily chipped away at the deficit over the past few weeks, putting him on the brink of the record books.

Last week, Garrett went up against the Buffalo Bills, which was a tough task since Josh Allen is one of the more difficult quarterbacks to sack in the league. This week, though, Garrett will line up against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers, which presents a different kind of challenge.

While Rodgers doesn’t have the mobility of his prime, the future Hall of Fame quarterback has been the quickest thrower in the NFL this year. As a result, Garrett may need some help from the secondary to force Rodgers to hold on to the ball longer than usual.

If Garrett sacks Rodgers in this game, it would be a fitting callback to when Michael Strahan set the sack record in 2001, when Strahan sacked Brett Favre to break the previous mark.

AllSportsPeople is tracking Myles Garrett’s stats as the Browns play the Steelers on Sunday afternoon in pursuit of the single-season sacks record. Follow along for updates.
