QB wins aren't a stat — but it may tell a little bit of a story.

Much-maligned Justin Fields has been under fire since even before he stepped foot on an NFL field. Whether it was the unfair pre-draft analysis or the ample pass rushers faced or the media onslaught, Fields has dealt with attackers, critics and detractors from all angles.

While the 2021 No. 12 overall pick hasn't had the best environment to thrive in, his performance as a passer hasn't exactly inspired confidence over 3 1/2 seasons under center in Chicago, either. There's plenty of time for Fields to change the narrative around him, but it starts with winning.

Fields has started 29 games for the Bears since being selected in 2021, but the results haven't exactly been there just yet for the young passer. Fields has yet to reach double-digit wins on his resume and hasn't won a game in nearly a year heading into Week 5.

That's not to say that Fields has been the predominant factor in the Bears' ineptitude over the years. He's still a dazzling athletic talent, but the production from the pocket hasn't quite been there yet. Still, a lot has happened in the world since the last time the Bears won a game: Aliens exist, *NSYNC has returned and Taylor Swift is now the commissioner of the NFL.

There are a number quarterbacks, some notable and some not, who have factored into their team's wins since Fields donned a Bears uniform. Here's the list:

Justin Fields record in the NFL

Fields has amassed a record of 5-24 in the NFL. Of those wins, two have come by way of game-winning drives, both of which came in the 2022 season.

Since 2021, Fields' five wins is tied with four other quarterbacks: Davis Mills, Marcus Mariota, Deshaun Watson and Cooper Rush. There are 35 quarterbacks in the NFL who have secured more than five wins since the 2021 season, including Fields' draftmate Zach Wilson and free-agent QB Carson Wentz.

Fields' .172 winning percentage is the lowest of any QB since the start of the 2021 season, with Wilson the next lowest at .320. The 24 losses are tied for most in the league in that same span, with Trevor Lawrence owning 24 losses on his resume, too.

Here's the list of QBs with more than five wins in since the 2021 season, sorted by wins:

Justin Fields' record in college

Suffice to say, losing is a relatively new thing for Fields. As a starter at Ohio State, Fields went 20-2, with both losses coming in the College Football Playoff following the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
