Justin Fields has been electrifying football stadiums for some time now.

Once regarded as one of the NFL's next great quarterbacks, Fields' career trajectory hasn't entirely gone according to plan after an exit from the Bears, then stops with the Steelers and Jets. However, Fields has proven himself as an elite offensive weapon, whether with his arm or his legs, when he's on the gridiron.

Since his days at Ohio State, Fields has become one of the most recognizable names in football, which of course comes along with its financial benefits. From his NFL contracts to off-the-field endorsements, Fields has accumulated some wealth in his career.

Here's a breakdown of Fields' net worth, from his NFL earnings to other business endeavors.

Justin Fields NFL contract details

  • Years: Two
  • Value: $40 million

In March 2025, Fields agreed to a two-year, $40 million deal with the Jets that included a $15 million signing bonus and $30 million guaranteed, per Spotrac. Given the fact that Fields was still 26 at the time, yet had somewhat limited opportunities as a full-time starter with a playoff-caliber supporting cast, it was a shorter-term "prove-it" deal in New York that also gave the quarterback a fairly decent payday for his first free agent deal.

Per Over the Cap, Fields' $20 million in average annual value (AAV) made him the 20th-highest-paid quarterback in the league in 2025, in front of names like Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones, but behind others like Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold.

Fields' contract is currently set to make him an unrestricted free agent following the 2026 season.

Here's a full breakdown of Fields' current contract situation, per Spotrac:

Justin Fields NFL career earnings

According to Spotrac, Fields has accumulated $18,871,956 in career earnings as of August 2025. Most of that was from his rookie signing bonus, which amounted to $11.085 million.

Fields was in a somewhat rare instance when he played for multiple teams on his NFL rookie deal as a former first-round quarterback. He played the first three years of his rookie deal with the Bears, but was then traded to the Steelers in March 2024, when he had one year left on his deal.

Following the 2024 season, Fields signed his second NFL contract with the Jets after primarily sitting behind Russell Wilson while in Pittsburgh. Unlike some other top former first-round passers, Fields never got a lucrative rookie extension, forcing him into free agency by age 26.

Fields has earned two NFL contracts so far, Here's a look at those two deals:

  • Rookie Deal (Bears): Four years, $18.871 million
  • Free Agency Deal (Jets): Two years, $40 million

Justin Fields endorsements

As one of the most well-known players in the NFL, Fields has his share of company endorsements as well, including some work in commercials.

In September 2023, Fields signed a deal with Reebok, waiting to choose a major clothing/shoe company until he was a few years into his NFL career.

"Most guys will sign with Nike, Adidas or Jordan Brand coming out of college, but when I declared for the draft I decided I didn’t want to. I felt like that was what everyone else was doing, and I wanted to take my own path. I didn’t sign any athletic brand endorsement deal during my rookie season, but Reebok and I had mutual interest because we both take risks and do things our own way," Fields told Hypebeast in 2023. "We started talking organically, then they put together an official presentation for me. I saw how dedicated they were in wanting to be great, and it was inspiring, so I signed on.”

Fields also spoke more about his excitement to join Reebok, a company he said he has a history with.

“I grew up watching the NFL, so just seeing them in the league and kind of being the brand of the NFL back then was definitely cool to see,” Fields said, per Yahoo. “Definitely used to rock Reebok back in the day, I would say since five or six years old, so pretty young age.”

Another of Fields' unique endorsements was in 2021, when he worked with Chipotle to create a food bowl named after him, which benefitted youth sports.

Here's a full list of companies Fields has been known to work with in some fashion:

Justin Fields business ventures & philanthropy

Even outside of his endorsements, Fields has been known to have other business endeavors off the gridiron, including philanthropic ventures.

Fields has spoken out for mental health advocacy in the past, including being open about dealing with anxiety and managing his epilepsy. In 2023, for Mental Health Awareness Month, Fields filmed a video for the Bears that detailed his breathing exercises and how he relaxes. During National Epilepsy Awareness Month in 2022, Fields spoke to ESPN about his experience with the neurological disorder.

"I know when I have [a seizure] coming, I just forget what I'm doing, zone out and then boom, 30 seconds later be locked in, and then I'll do it two or three times," Fields said. "So once I do it two or three times, then I know something's coming."

Fields also has his own foundation, the "Justin Fields Foundation," which is "dedicated to strengthening communities through focused grantmaking and strategic partnerships in the areas of youth empowerment, scholastic achievement, health, wellness and leadership development." Through his organization, Fields has held annual youth football camps and donated money to the Special Olympics.
