Cam Ward NIL earnings
For two seasons at Washington State, Ward signed an NIL deal with a package that included over $100,000 and a GMC truck. That deal changed the game for the Cougars, who had to set up an NIL collective in order to pay Ward, which allowed them to get into the transfer game.
"This group of volunteers that became the Cougar Collective was operating in the dark of night without approval or support of the university," Collins, a former Washington State wide receiver and current financial management consultant, told 247 Sports. "We were doing this for arguably the most valuable NIL deal ever. It will be hard to ever have a more valuable NIL contract than Cam Ward's time in Pullman."
Additionally, according to On3.com, Ward earned $2 million with his NIL deal last season while playing for Miami, largely due to his deal with the Miami Collective.
