The New York Jets might be 0-4, but make no mistake, improvements are happening for Aaron Glenn's team after the 27-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

With Justin Fields returning to the team after his concussion, the Jets, after starting slowly, rallied late, but fell short of an unlikely comeback.

The big story for the Jets out of the game was the whopping 13 penalties for 101 yards, along with three turnovers, as the offense continued to self-destruct at the most inopportune times, and that was ultimately what cost them the game.

And Fields knows it.

“We're very close, but it comes to a point where you want to get over that hump,” Fields said. “That's going to happen very soon. We're just shooting ourselves in the foot, turnovers, penalties in critical situations, and that can’t happen. There's definitely positives to take away, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter without a win. But we know what kind of team we are. We know what we're capable of, and we're just going to keep going and keep working.”

Fields bounces back vs. Dolphins

After his horror outing against the Buffalo Bills, Fields bounced back at Hard Rock Stadium, going 20 of 27 for 226 yards and a touchdown while having a 111.0 passer rating and rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.

It took until the fourth quarter to get something rolling for the Jets, as they outscored Miami 11-3, but it was too little, too late.

Glenn will look back on this game as one his team could have won, and had it not been for the three turnovers, one being in the redzone with Braelon Allen fumbling, then maybe New York has its first win of the season.

But Fields' play showed that the Jets might have something at the quarterback position; he just might need a little more help.
