Jets' Tyrod Taylor details Justin Fields advice after horror show vs. Bills image

The Justin Fields experience for the New York Jets wasn't a fun one in the 30-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium.

Fields would go 3 of 11 for just 27 yards, along with 49 rushing yards, before head coach Aaron Glenn had had enough and pulled the trigger in the fourth due to a concussion for No. 7, putting veteran Tyrod Taylor in the game.

But while there will rightfully be some doom and gloom around No. 7, Tyrod, being the super professional he is, offered some words of advice for Fields after the MetLife horror show.

“Just take it one game at a time,” Taylor said. “Obviously, we know everyone wants to be great in their own way, stick to the process, remain confident, and learn from these. There's a ton of tape out there, we've now played two games. There's some positives that we've done, and there's some not-so-well things that we've done as well, too.

"The main thing is that you learn from both and continue to keep building your games early on in the season. So, critique yourself the hardest way possible, and bounce back from these type of games.”

Where does Glenn go from here with QB choice?

Will Glenn make a big change? We don't see it, but after Fields' performance and the fact that he went into concussion protocol in the fourth quarter, maybe we do see Tyrod in Week 3.

We are yet to see the ruthless side of Glenn, and we get the sense we might see it this week. Granted, the decision might be made for him if Fields can't go due to a concussion, but after that? Depending on how Taylor looks, who knows?

Fields is on a two-year, $20 million deal that gives the Jets some flexibility financially if they were to move on, Glenn might see Taylor as a better option to lead the offense.

Yes, it is only two games, but the NFL is a brutal business, and Fields got that message loud and clear against the Bills.
