The New York Jets' era with Aaron Glenn has gotten off to a poor start, and in truth, it isn't that surprising, given the state of the roster. However, there are a few bright spots.
One has been the run game, led by Breece Hall, who leads the team in rushing and is also second in receiving yards. Therefore, offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand sees the value in using Hall in a variety of ways.
But, if the Jets' poor season continues, should the franchise maybe start fielding calls ahead of the trade deadline?
NFL.com's Maurice Jones-Drew thinks so and has listed Hall as the No. 1 back teams should look to acquire via trade in the coming weeks.
"There are a ton of teams that could use RB help right now -- Bears, Cardinals, Chargers, Chiefs, Commanders, Steelers and Vikings among them -- and Hall, whose best days I believe are ahead of him, would be an asset almost anywhere," Jones-Drew wrote.

Should Jets trade Breece Hall?
Considering the current state of the running back room, with Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis behind Hall, and given that Breece is in the final year of his rookie deal, I can say with some confidence that Hall won't receive an extension with the Jets.
Of course, he could, but given the state of the roster, perhaps general manager Darren Mougey might see it as beneficial to acquire some draft capital for a player they aren't going to move forward with now, and opt for Allen and Davis as a one-two punch.
Exactly what you would get for Hall likely wouldn't be much, but draft picks appear to be New York's biggest asset right now, and, plus, seeing what you have in Allen and Davis, both of whom are in their second seasons, might be rather interesting.
Hall saw his name mentioned as potential trade bait in the offseason, and over the coming weeks, we might see which teams, if any, make a play for him.
