There doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel for the New York Jets after their 37-22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, which now drops them to 0-5 to start Aaron Glenn's tenure as head coach.
At one point during the game, New York was down 30-6, and it is worth noting that Dak Prescott was without four of his starting five offensive linemen, didn't have CeeDee Lamb or KaVonate Turpin, and still managed to score 37 points against New York.
That feels borderline unacceptable for a team thought to be better defensively than they were a year ago, but right now, it's a tough watch.
For CBS Sports' John Breece, New York gets a "D" grade after barely putting up a fight against the Cowboys.
"Aaron Glenn is a defensive-minded coach, so there was an expectation that the Jets defense would improve this year with him running the show, but that hasn't been the case,” Breech wrote. “Everything seems broken right now for the Jets. With this loss, Glenn is now the first coach in Jets history to start 0-5 in his first year with the team.”

No one thought this was going to be a quick fix, and for those who thought it would be, you're getting a brutal reality check.
This season was always going to be tough sledding for the Jets and Glenn, as they look to build a cultural foundation that they hope will lead to success down the line; however, to achieve that, hard times have to come.
And make no mistake about it, the Jets are in the middle of perhaps their toughest in recent memory, sitting at 0-5 and not seeing where their first win could come from.
Things were never going to go smoothly for Glenn and New York, and right now, there is some serious turbulence that must be navigated.
