The New York Giants should be celebrating their first win of the year after outlasting the Los Angeles Chargers 21-18 at MetLife Stadium, but receiver Malik Nabers is at the forefront of their minds.
With the star receiver chasing a deep route in the first half, he suffered a knee injury and had to be carted off the field, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport stated that it is believed Nabers suffered the dreaded ACL injury.
Of course, he wasn't seen for the rest of the game as Jaxson Dart got his first win as a starter in his first game, as he toppled Jim Harbaugh and his previously undefeated Chargers team.
Speaking post-game, head coach Brian Daboll, when asked about Malik's injury, didn't have too much to say.
“Don’t have much on the injury front, haven’t talked to the trainers yet,” Daboll said. “Certainly not happy about it, I feel terrible for Malik’s injury, we will see where he’s at.”

Malik Nabers' injury brutal for Giants offense
Given how Dart flashed and the offense functioned at times with running back Cam Skattebo, the Giants had something cooking against the superb defense of the Chargers, which, along with a healthy Nabers, would give Giants fans hope for the rest of the season.
But now, New York is getting ready to be without its No. 1 weapon for the rest of the year as Dart loses a key piece of his offensive game plan.
We won't know the extent of the injury until further tests are done, but it doesn't appear to be good news for the Giants' star receiver.
Sometimes, football just sucks.
