On Tuesday, it was reported that former Patriots' head coach, an eight-time Super Bowl champion, wasn't voted as a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
Many people, from fans to players across the league, were very confused about how this happened to arguably one of the greatest coaches of all time in the NFL or any sport.
LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes and others react to shocking Bill Belichick news
Belichick should inevitably be elected into the Hall of Fame, even though he wasn't a first-ballot HOFer, but some big names across the sports world had a lot to say about the news regarding Belichick when it came out on Tuesday.
LeBron James
"Man there's no way I read that right! Right? Ain't no WAY Bill Belichick ain't 1st Ballot HOF!! That's IMPOSSIBLE, EGREGIOUS, and quite frankly DISRESPECTFUL!"
Patrick Mahomes
"Insane… don’t even understand how this could be possible"
JJ Watt
"I can’t be reading this right.
This has to be some knock-off Hall of Fame or something, it can’t be the actual NFL Hall of Fame.
There is not a single world whatsoever in which Bill Belichick should not be a First-Ballot Hall of Famer."
Jordan Schultz
"Regardless of your opinion of Bill Belichick, him not being a first ballot Hall of Famer is a disgrace — and a direct indictment on the Hall of Fame itself.
Just an absolute joke."
Robert Griffin III
"If Bill Belichick isn’t a 1st Ballot NFL Hall of Famer, then NO ONE SHOULD BE."
Ryan Clark
"Bill Belichick not being a first ballot Hall of Famer means that no coach should ever be. It means that the voters have decided there isn’t a coaching resume that warrants First Ballot consideration! He is the GREATEST, most ACCOMPLISHED coach of all time! This is egregious!"

Bill Simmons
"Belichick was the best NFL coach ever yesterday and that’s still true today and tomorrow. The truth is — sports Hall of Fames don’t matter nearly as much anymore because we’ve screwed all of them up."
Jimmy Johnson
"As a HOF coach I think Bill Belichick is the greatest of all time…yes he had a great QB but we all did..he won AFTER THE salary cap and free agency plus I Know how much he LOVES THE NFL and the game..I’m pissed.."
