The Miami Dolphins have surged in recent weeks, and De'Von Achane has been one of the biggest factors.
Achane entered Sunday's game against the New York Jets fresh off of three consecutive 100-yard rushing games, and he continued to roll with an electrifying start at MetLife Stadium, including an early touchdown run and a bruising run into the red zone. His momentum was interrupted only by an injury that sent him back to the locker room late in the second quarter.
Despite dealing with no shortage of nagging injuries, Achane hasn't missed a game since his rookie season in 2023. If the Dolphins want to continue charging up the AFC standings, they are certainly hoping that remains true.
Here's what you need to know about Achane's injury and his status going forward.

Apparently injured his ribs on this run. Doesn’t appear to be a major impact so I doubt there’s a fracture. RBs average missing 1.3 games with plenty missing zero games pic.twitter.com/BOiyYEN5eB
With Achane sidelined, Jaylen Wright stepped into the lead role in the Dolphins' backfield. Achane was already up to 105 scrimmage yards on eight touches when he left the game.
