Puka Nacua deleted tweet: Rams WR criticizes refs on social media after loss to Seahawks image

Puka Nacua's wild week came to a head on Thursday night.

Earlier this week, Nacua got into hot water for appearing on Adin Ross' live stream, in which he made an antisemitic gesture and criticized the referees.

"The refs are the worst," Nacua said. "These guys are lawyers. They want to be on TV, too.... You don’t think he’s texting his friends in the group chat like, 'Yo, you guys just saw me on "Sunday Night Football." Like, 'That wasn't P.I., like, but I called it.'... I mean, these guys are normal human beings, too."

Then, on Thursday night, Nacua produced a career-best night as the Los Angeles Rams blew a 16-point lead to the Seattle Seahawks. The game, though, featured a controversial call by the referees that helped the Seahwaks tie the game.

After the game, Nacua appeared to criticize the refs once again, which will put him once again in the league's crosshairs. Here's a breakdown of what Nacua did.

After the Rams' loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night, Nacua instantly fired off a message on social media criticizing the referees.

"Can't say I was wrong," he said. "Appreciate you stripes for your contributions. Lol."

Nacua referenced his comments on Adin Ross' stream earlier this week, when he said "the refs are the worst." The wide receiver immediately deleted the message, but not before it went viral.

Sean McVay postgame press conference

McVay got to the podium for his postgame press conference after Nacua sent and deleted his tweet, but the Rams head coach wasn't aware of Nacua's actions.

"I can't answer questions about something that I'm not aware of," he said.

On Nacua's controversial appearance on Adin Ross' live stream, McVay had a much more thorough answer and stood by his wide receiver while also acknowledging the wrong Nacua did.

"I don't think he understood the totality of some of the things," "That's a great kid that's continuing to learn about the platform that he has. I love him, we're going to continue put our arm around him and help him learn and grow, but we never want to do things that offend anybody."

McVay denied knowing anything about Nacua trying to get Ross to film on the Rams' facility, but he maintained that he will try to help the wide receiver mature as a person.
