The Los Angeles Chargers have endured another significant setback ahead of the sixth week of action in the 2025 NFL season.
Jim Harbaugh's team suffered a second consecutive loss on Sunday (October 5) as the Washington Commanders recorded a 27-10 victory at SoFi Stadium.
The defeat in Los Angeles followed a shock loss on the road to the New York Giants a week prior.
The Chargers were among the AFC's most impressive teams prior to losing to the Giants, as they began the season with three straight wins over all of their AFC West rivals.
However, ahead of a trip to face the Miami Dolphins this coming Sunday (October 12), it appears as if the team's season may already be falling apart.
Injury troubles build for the Chargers
The Chargers will be unable to utilise their run-game to the same extent in the near-future as running back Omarion Hampton has been ruled out for the next four games.

The rookie suffered an ankle problem against the Commanders, which caused him to depart the game in the second half.
Hampton rushed for 44 yards on 12 carries and put up 26 receiving yards on six receptions during the loss on Sunday.
The injury will be a blow for Harbaugh, as his teams are renown for running the ball efficiently, and Hampton has shown he can be a useful weapon for the Chargers' offence in his five NFL games so far.
The running back out of North Carolina has rushed for 314 yards so far this season and scored two touchdowns.
Hampton will miss Sunday's game against the Dolphins, as well as subsequent games against the Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans.

The rookie is the latest Chargers player to have to spend time on the sidelines, as veteran running back Najee Harris tore his achilles in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos and will miss the rest of the season.
Also, currently missing for the AFC West team are star linebacker Khalil Mack, who is out with an elbow issue, while offensive tackle Joe Alt is unavailable due to an ankle sprain.
Offensive tackle Rashawn Salter is already out for the year after he tore his patellar tendon in practise during pre-season.
While the Chargers may find themselves in a difficult spot right now, Sunday's game with the Dolphins may present a good opportunity to return to winning ways as Mike McDaniel's team have registered just the one win so far this season.
