The Kansas City Chiefs' coaching situation is one that will have our attention for the coming months.
Both Matt Nagy and Steve Spagnuolo are getting head coaching interviews, so Andy Reid could be looking for two new coordinators for 2026.
In Nagy's case, there are reports that even if he doesn't get a head coaching role, he'll move on to a team where he can be the play-caller (Reid does it now).
And that means a job opening to work with Patrick Mahomes. But who could the Chiefs look to?
Well, for ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, a reunion with Patrick's head coach at Texas Tech, Kliff Kingsbury, is an interesting option.
"The Matt Nagy situation is one to watch," Fowler wrote. "The Chiefs' offensive coordinator is a free agent who will entertain his choices. Those include head coaching opportunities -- he'll be a candidate in Tennessee, among other spots -- and possibly as a playcaller/OC elsewhere. Kansas City certainly could attempt to keep him. But Nagy is also willing to bet on himself.
"And, if Nagy were to leave, would Kliff Kingsbury have a chance to slide back into Patrick Mahomes' life as Chiefs OC? It makes a lot of sense."

Is Kingsbury a legitimate option?
Without a doubt, he is.
After parting ways with the Washington Commanders after two seasons, we saw what Kliff did with Jayden Daniels, and that was superb.
When Kingsbury and Mahomes were together at Texas Tech, while they had a combined record of 16-21, Patrick's stats were outstanding.
Mahomes threw for 11,252 yards, 92 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions in just 32 games.
So, a reunion with a coach who knows how to get the best out of Patrick might not be the worst idea.
Of course, Kingsbury will get head coach interest, and if he doesn't get one of those, a job in Kansas City might work out well.
