The NFL offseason is up and running for the Kansas City Chiefs, and the changes are already coming thick and fast.
With Steve Spagnuolo and Matt Nagy already being requested for head coach interviews, the Chiefs continued with changes.
The franchise fired receivers coach Connor Embree.
And ESPN's Nate Taylor, who was on 96.5 The Fan, offered startling insight into why things broke down.
"I know the receivers themselves were frustrated with their own position coach," Taylor said on 96.5 The Fan. "But Xavier Worthy, you can look at it, and it's factual. Xavier Worthy, as a receiver in his rookie season, got better the absolute moment DeAndre Hopkins arrived.
"I could argue that DeAndre Hopkins and Travis Kelce have been more impactful to the development of Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy than Connor Embree. That's a problem."
Goodness me. That is quite the statement from Taylor.

Taylor's comments on Embree are explosive
Patrick Mahomes' receivers have been a problem over the past year, and thanks to Taylor, we now know why.
The fact that a player can have a bigger impact on another player instead of a coach, as Taylor states, is a problem, and it is clear why Embree was let go.
It is an offseason of change for the Chiefs, and in addition to potentially hiring two new coordinators, a new receivers coach must be found.
The 2025 season wasn't good from a Chiefs perspective, particularly offensively, and we have just gotten a little insight into the big reason why.
