Prior to the 2025 season, when we think of the Kansas City Chiefs, one word springs to mind about Andy Reid's team - consistency.
Whether it be on offense, defense, or special teams, you knew what you were getting week-to-week.
But this season, the Chiefs have been as inconsistent as any team in football, particularly in the last five weeks, when Kansas City is 1-4 and its season teeters on the edge ahead of Week 15.
In the offseason, the Chiefs' coaching staff had an idea of what they wanted the offense to look like, but now, as we get closer to Week 15, what has surprised offensive coordinator Matt Nagy the most about his group?
“Just not being consistent is probably the easiest way to say it,” Nagy said. “We know what we can do when we're really clicking, we need to really click more often. It's just all of us together, and I think when you get in this moment right now that we're in, we have four games that we need to get better and then see what happens."

Chiefs have to buck the trend vs. Chargers
Nagy says the offense hasn't been consistent this season. Well, they are going to need to be consistent on Sunday against the Chargers.
In a game where, if the Chiefs lose, their season is officially over from a playoff standpoint, it is truly time to lay it all on the line, because this Kansas City team knows the gravity of the situation.
Self-inflicted wounds have plagued them all season, and of course, it would be fitting for those same missteps to be what ends their playoff hopes Sunday, but the Chiefs still have hope, albeit not much.
This is a position the Chiefs aren't used to being in, and we are able to see how they handle it.
The AFC champs are on the ropes, struggling to make the 10 count.
