The Kansas City Chiefs now sit at 4-3 on the year with Andy Reid's offense finally having its complete list of weapons and the result was a 31-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

After a rocky start to the year, that saw many narratives flying around about Reid's Chiefs, those seem to have dissipated, and now, the AFC champs appear to be as good as ever, which is a scary thought.

The shutout win over the Raiders was, for me, the best Chiefs performance of the year, and if it wasn't, it's darn close, and now with the chance to really kick on in the season as assume their rightful place at the top of the AFC pecking order, Kansas City appears set to strike.

And for CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin, Reid was the big winner out of Sunday's win.

“Reid's Chiefs looked like they might finally be returning to title-caliber form in a prime-time rout of the Detroit Lions in Week 6,” Benjamin writes. “Everything finally clicked against the Raiders, though, with Patrick Mahomes greatly benefiting from the 2025 debut of Rashee Rice. The formerly suspended wide receiver showed up with seven catches and two scores to balance out Reid's offensive arsenal.”

Chiefs offense a different animal with Rice return

It was the first time the Chiefs had everyone available on offense, and Patrick Mahomes wheeled and dealed like he used it.

Patrick went 26 of 35 for 286 yards and three touchdowns as the offense put up over 400 total yards in a blistering performance. Such was the way the Chiefs dominated, the offense didn't attempt a single pass in the fourth quarter.

Let that sink in folks.

Now with their mojo seemingly back, the Chiefs feel poised to be the team everyone thought they couldn't be anymore, and with a healthy offense and the defense looking back to its suffocating best, yeah, this Kansas City outfit is again going to be around the mark come January.
