Chiefs' Andy Reid reveals big 'plus' to Week 18 game vs. Raiders image

The Kansas City Chiefs have one game left in the horror show that has been the 2025 season, against the Las Vegas Raiders.

With the Chiefs being out of the playoffs for the past couple of weeks, it has given the organization a license, if you will, to shuffle the decks.

Younger players have gotten more snaps in preparation for next season, and it gives the coaching staff a chance to evaluate those players in a real NFL setting.

And for head coach Andy Reid, if you are looking for a big positive in these past few weeks, that's it.

“I think every chance some of these young guys have to play I think benefits the team, benefits them being part of the team,” Reid said. “I’ll tell you that the last few games, if there’s a plus to take out of it, that’d be it.”

Chiefs looking to end year with a win

Will a win over the Raiders really do much for the Chiefs?

Aside from boosting the pride aspect, not really.

Also, it might give the team some positive momentum heading into the offseason, especially if younger players like Chris Oladokun or Brashard Smith play well.

There is clearly an eye on 2026 in this Week 19 game, and while it is meaningless for most of Chiefs Kingdom, there is still a lot that can be taken from it.

With the big plus being that Kansas City's younger players are getting vital NFL experience.
