The Kansas City Chiefs' offense will get a stern test of whether it is "back" or not when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5.

With Liam Coen's defense turnover merchants through the opening month, totaling 13 with at least three in every game this year, the Chiefs are going to have to be cognizant of that when they take the field.

But while the offense hasn't played well aside from last week against the Baltimore Ravens, the one thing they do well is take care of the football. Through four weeks, Kansas City's offense has just one turnover.

So, Week 5 will pit one of the best defenses at taking away the football against an offense that doesn't, and head coach Andy Reid has detailed how his offense has kept the turnovers in check.

"Emphasize it, I guess," Reid said. "Really comes down to the guys doing it, high and tight when needed, not having tipped balls, things that lead to those [turnovers]. This is a potential weather game so you add that into it too, you got to make sure you really take care of the football."

Chiefs must maintain low turnover margin vs. Jaguars

It is no secret that the Jaguars' defense has been the driving force behind their 3-1 start with the offense not scoring more than 27 points in any game this season.

There is a case to be made that if the Chiefs' offense takes care of the ball and starves this Jacksonville defense, good things might happen. But that might be a tall order, especially on the road.

But if there is one quarterback who can, it's Patrick Mahomes.

The Chiefs appear to be back, and slay the Jaguars in their building while protecting the football, it might signal that the current AFC champs are to be taken seriously.
