Andy Reid has bold message for 0-2 Chiefs after Eagles loss image

For the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, the Kansas City Chiefs have started a season 0-2 after the 20-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium.

With the Chiefs up for the Super Bowl rematch, it was the Eagles who once again got the last laugh, and now the mental games that the Chiefs must play the next time they face Philadelphia will be a fascinating watch.

Head coach Andy Reid took full responsibility for the loss with his play-calling, and when asked about his message for his 0-2 team, it was simple and a little bold.

“Keep playing hard,” Reid said. “I’ll take this one, you keep playing hard. Stick together, play hard.”

So, it appears Reid is letting his players off the hook a little there, which is a bold way to go about it, but this team has earned the benefit of the doubt. Now things get a lot trickier being 0-2.

Chiefs bottom of AFC West

Yes, it is only two weeks into the season, but it is something worth noting.

Never in the Mahomes era have the Chiefs started 0-2, so we are in uncharted territory right now, and for Chiefs Kingdom, that isn't a nice spot to be.

With Kansas City now rooted to the bottom of the division, it is now looking up at the competition, and if the Los Angeles Chargers win, that will open up a nice little gap.

Are we completely off the Chiefs? No, because Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy will be back, but right now, it appears the AFC champs are a little wobbly and there for the taking.
