Trevor Lawrence playoff interceptions: Jaguars QB can't shake postseason narrative as woes continue in Bills loss image

After winning eight consecutive games to close out the regular season, the Jacksonville Jaguars' playoff run ended with a thud on Sunday.

More accurately, it ended with an interception.

With 59 seconds and a chance to at least tie the game with a field goal, Trevor Lawrence was picked off by Cole Bishop, handing a 27-24 win to the Buffalo Bills and sending the Jaguars spiraling out of the playoffs in the wild-card round.

For Lawrence, a dominant finish to the season was marred by a multi-interception performance against the Bills after he threw only one interception over his final six regular-season contests.

Here's a look at how interceptions have become a trouble area for Lawrence in the playoffs.

Lawrence now has seven career interceptions in three playoff games, a troubling pace for a quarterback being paid like one of the NFL's best.

The 26-year-old threw four interceptions in his playoff debut, which turned out to be a historic comeback win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and he was intercepted deep into the fourth quarter while trailing the Kansas City Chiefs the following week.

Those turnovers haunted Lawrence in the early weeks of this season, but as he heated up, so did the Jaguars. Lawrence threw 15 touchdowns to just one interception over his final six regular season games in 2025, all of which were wins, but his first multi-interception game since before Thanksgiving doomed Jacksonville on Sunday.

Here's a look at Lawrence's ups and downs against the Bills.

Lawrence threw for 207 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's loss, but his two interceptions are what Jaguars fans will remember for at least another eight months.

An early interception by Shaq Thompson resulted in three points for the Bills, but it was Lawrence's final turnover that quite literally sealed a loss for Jacksonville. Facing an opportunity to go down the field in 59 seconds and tie or win the game, Lawrence's first pass instead bounced right off the hands of Tre'Davious White and into Bishop's arms.

Lawrence has thrown eight touchdowns and seven interceptions across three playoff starts, with a 1-2 record. His 60.4 completion rate in the playoffs is more than two points below his regular-season mark, though 237 passing yards per game is a small step above his regular season mark of 231.5.

The downside, of course, is Lawrence's interception rate, which is 6.0 percent in the playoffs and 2.2 percent in the regular season. If and when he returns to the postseason, avoiding turnovers will have to be top of mind for Lawrence.
