After making his presence felt in his NFL debut, Travis Hunter took his two-way show on the road.

The Jacksonville Jaguars' rookie saw action on both sides of the ball in his NFL debut, which came in front of his home fans at EverBank Stadium. In Week 2, the Jags were on to Cincinnati, where they looked impressive before losing to the Bengals, 31-27.

In Week 2, Hunter had a historic workload of sorts, becoming the first player since at least 2012 to see 20-plus snaps on offense and defense, per OptaStats. This was aligned with head coach Liam Coen saying Hunter "will get more snaps on defense." The rookie's mettle was tested, as Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins highlight Cincinnati's dynamic receiving corps.

The Sporting News tracked his snap count and performance against the Bengals.

Travis Hunter live updates, highlights from Jaguars vs. Bengals Week 2 game

(All times Eastern.)

Final: Bengals 31, Jaguars 27

4:00 p.m.: Travis Hunter picks up a defensive pass interference in an awful spot, getting called for contact as the Bengals looked to convert on fourth down during as they worked on a game-winning drive.

2:42 p.m.: The Jaguars enter the half with a seven-point lead and Travis Hunter's snap count is at 24 on offense and 11 on defense.

The biggest story of the game however is the health of Joe Burrow, who exited with a toe injury.

1:56 p.m.: Travis Hunter is getting settled in defensively.

Shortly after committing the first defensive penalty of his young career, Hunter made the most impressive defensive play of his young career with the break up of a pass intended for Andrei Iosivas.

1:52 p.m.: Travis Hunter got going at the end of the first quarter and got fed a few times on yet another thorough drive for Jacksonville.

Hunter catches three passes for 22 yards, and the drive ends with a Trevor Lawrence touchdown pass to rookie Bhayshul Tuten.

1:42 p.m.: Travis Hunter's first defensive snap comes in a crucial spot, but it doesn't end well for the Jaguars.

With Hunter lined up against Tee Higgins, Joe Burrow found Ja'Marr Chase in the end zone for six. After the extra point, things are tied up before the end of the first quarter.

1:28 p.m.: Jacksonville marches back into the red zone, but the drive ends prematurely with a goal-to-go interception in the end zone on third down.

Making matters worse is that the throw was Hunter's first target of the game.

1:13 p.m.: The Jaguars' first drive ends in a touchdown to Dyami Brown, but Travis Hunter does not register a stat.

Primarily lining up in the slot, Hunter gets no targets, while QB Trevor Lawrence spread the wealth around to Brown and Brian Thomas Jr.
