Jordan Love shoulder injury update: Latest news on Packers QB after hard hit vs. Giants image

The Green Bay Packers entered Sunday badly needing an offensive spark after a sluggish performance in Week 10, but they saw both Josh Jacobs and Jordan Love spend time in the medical tent in the first half.

Love jogged toward the tent after taking a hard hit to his non-throwing shoulder, bringing backup Malik Willis into the game.

The Packers dropped from the No. 1 seed in the NFC to the No. 7 seed in a span of two weeks, leading up to Sunday's game against the New York Giants, leaving Green Bay with little room for error as it takes on a 2-8 team that just fired its head coach.

Here's what you need to know about Love's injury and his status going forward.

Jordan Love injury update

Love took a hard hit to his non-throwing shoulder from Giants LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles late in the first quarter and was seen jogging into the medical tent.

Shortly after exiting the tent, Love went down the tunnel toward the locker room. The Packers labeled Love as questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

After Willis led the Packers on a touchdown drive, Love was able to return to the game in the early second quarter.

Packers fans can take some comfort in knowing the injury doesn't appear to be anything that impacts Love's throwing shoulder, but any missed time for the quarterback would have been a problem for a team hoping to keep pace in a competitive NFC North race. Green Bay was already trailing 7-0 when Willis entered for Love.
