Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos will welcome the New England Patriots to Empower Field with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.
And Denver's head coach, in trying to motivate the home fans to be loud, might have given the Patriots all the motivation they needed in the process.
Usually, one to give the home fans a little encouragement to make as much noise as they can, Payton did so again, but might have just stoked the flames ahead of Sunday.
“They’re going to have plenty of rest after this one," Payton said via Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports. "Two weeks.”

For most, when Bo Nix's injury news hit that he was out for the year, Denver's Super Bowl hopes went with it.
With Jarrett Stidham now starting, Payton has expressed confidence in him, but Mike Vrabel's defense looms large in this one.
The Broncos are at home, though, and the noise the crowd can make is going to make Drake Maye's job difficult.
So, the Broncos aren't without their chances in this one, and the home crowd will need to do their part.
Afterall, they might get two weeks' rest after.
