The Dallas Cowboys will enter Week 18 with the same thing on the line as the previous two weeks: nothing.
But that doesn't mean Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott wants to sit out.
With the Cowboys looking to beat the New York Giants in Week 18, putting Prescott in a meaningless game is a huge risk.
Currently at 7-8-1, a win would move Dallas to 8-8-1 on the season. In truth, that is neither here nor there in the overall picture.
But not for Dak. It's a big deal for No. 4.
"Big difference," Prescott said. "A lot of pride, I think that's another reason I want to play. In a season of me being healthy, I've never had, in all of my life, career, a season under.500. So that tie's going to come into play really well. It's a huge difference."

Should Prescott play in Week 18 vs. Giants?
The easiest of easy answers. No.
Given the infamous MetLife turf, plus the fact that the Cowboys have nothing to play for but pride, there is no reason to send Dak out there.
But we know Brian Schottenheimer's desire to win these last couple of games, and it does feel like Prescott will suit up. Of course, that could change as the days go by.
However, if Dak or another Cowboys star suffers an injury that could impact 2026, we can only imagine the backlash Schottenheimer would face for putting his star players in such a poor position.
Dak wants to play. Schottenheimer wants him to. But we all know No. 4 should sit out.
