Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is playing as well as he ever has through five weeks of the season, with some having No. 4 in the MVP discussion.
With Prescott throwing for 1,356 yards, 10 touchdowns, three interceptions, having a completion percentage of 71.3, while having a 101.1 passer rating, it is fair to say Dak is in his bag right now.
For Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, when asked if Dak is playing in a similar way to Tony Romo when he was near the end of his career in terms of "knowing the answers to the test" as Shan Shariff said on 105.3 The Fan, he tends to agree.
“Yeah, I think it is a fair comparison,” Jerry said on 105.3 The Fan. “I think he is playing at that level. He is right there at the very top of the strengths of this team, and what a place to have it. Of all of the places you could have it going well for you, that would be the one you would pick to give you a chance to be in the playoffs.”

Cowboys will go as far as Dak goes in 2025
The comparisons for the 2025 version of the Cowboys were Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals last season, where the offense was elite, but often let down by the defense.
Through five weeks, there is a case to be made that this is the right comparison, as against the Green Bay Packers, all the defense needed was one stop, and they couldn't get it. The Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and the Packers rolled through the defense with ease.
All the while, Prescott continued to put up points (except the Bears game). With Brian Schottenheimer cooking up delicious plays for Prescott to deal, the Cowboys offense looks like one of the best in football.
And it is no secret that if the Cowboys are going to amount to something substantial in 2025, it will be because of No. 4.
