The Dallas Cowboys defense was something to forget about in a 40-37 overtime win against the New York Giants, but the offense put up very good numbers in this game. Quarterback Dak Prescott doesn't lose against the Giants and field goal kicker Brandon Aubrey saved the day for Dallas.

Aubrey hit a 64-yard field goal as time expired in regulation, and he also hit the game-winning 46-yard field goal as time expired for Dallas. Aubrey is one of the best field goal kickers in the game and had he not made his kicks, then the Cowboys would be 0-2. A win is a win for Dallas, and the Giants invent another way to lose a football game.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has three-word response About Brandon Aubrey

After the game was over, Prescott spoke to the media about how clutch Aubrey was once again with the game on the line. The Cowboys starting quarterback said to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas News about the fans chanting Aubrey's name,

"That’s sick. … he’s a closer."

This goes to show that Prescott and the Cowboys trust Aubrey when the game is on the line. Having a reliable field goal kicker helps a football team's confidence. In the game overall, Aubrey made four field goals and made two extra-points as well.

This is Aubrey's third season in the NFL with Dallas. He has been very reliable for this team during his tenure. Hopefully the Cowboys don't have to ask Aubrey to bail out the team when the game is on the line every single time. Dallas will head on the road in week three and face the Chicago Bears (0-2). It will be a big game for both teams.
