Cowboys fans will love Dak Prescott's quote about physical Lions matchup image

The Dallas Cowboys are riding a huge wave of momentum after winning three straight games, but that will be put to the test in Week 14.

A tough road trip to face the Detroit Lions at Ford Field awaits Dak Prescott and Co. In what has developed into a little rivalry over the past two seasons.

With the Lions now famous for their tough, physical style under head coach Dan Campbell, the Cowboys will be walking into a buzzsaw on Thursday, with Detroit, like Dallas, fighting for its playoff life.

But make no mistake, Dak wants all the smoke.

"Yeah, it's fun,” Prescott said. “It's what you play the game for, real competitors. They take the spirit of their head coach, you can tell that they play with it. I'm definitely looking forward of just getting back out there, going to Detroit, just having the group that we have and having to communicate in such a tough environment, but understanding we got to play physical and going to be a four-quarter fight.”

Cowboys alive in NFC East race

Just three weeks ago, the Cowboys weren't even a factor in the NFC East, as the Philadelphia Eagles were running away with the division.

But Dallas' three-game winning streak, coupled with the Eagles losing back-to-back games, has now put Brian Schottenheimer's team just a game and a half behind the Eagles.

Yes, there's a chance, folks.

With the Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo Bills on the schedule for the Eagles, the Cowboys, if they take care of Detroit, could be in with a serious shot at the division.

Yes, it's a long shot, but it's a shot nonetheless.
