The Dallas Cowboys knew that the matchup with the Carolina Panthers was going to be a tough battle, but it appears they didn't follow through.
Rico Dowdle and the Carolina offense monstered the defensive line with Rico rushing for a whopping 183 yards on his 30 carries, and he was also a factor in the passing game, with 56 yards and a touchdown.
But the real disappointment was that the Panthers' offense got the ball with a little over six minutes left in the fourth quarter, and Dallas couldn't get a stop, with Carolina running 19 plays for 59 yards, and took all of the time off the clock and set up the game-winning field goal.
And when discussing what went wrong for Dallas, head coach Brian Schottenheimer knows the biggest issue that plagued his team.
"You got to win the line of scrimmage, and we didn't win the line of scrimmage," Schottenheimer said. "I told the team that, it's disappointing. Give them a lot of credit, they ran hard, they blocked well, we have to be better."

Cowboys continue to be hurt by defense
Most knew that the Panthers' offense would be able to move the ball against this Dallas defense, but the ease with which Bryce Young and Co. were able to do as they pleased is worrying.
After Young's interception in the first quarter, the Panthers' offense went touchdown, field goal, touchdown, punt, touchdown, punt, field goal. Oh, and the first three-and-out didn't come until the fourth quarter.
With Matt Eberflus' defense coming under heavy criticism entering the game, that will now reach a fever pitch after allowing 30 points and 410 total yards of offense against the Panthers.
It's a tough time in Dallas.
