Will Keon Coleman play in Week 13? Bills' Josh Allen still has 'faith' in WR image

Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman has been a healthy scratch for the past two games as the franchise disciplines the young receiver over being late to a meeting in the lead-up to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game in Week 11.

Given how poorly the offense looked against the Houston Texans, Buffalo signed veteran Brandin Cooks to the roster in a move that should have lit a fire under Coleman, as his spot on the team isn't a certainty right now.

As we approach Week 13 and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bills know that, given their position at 7-4 and on the brink of falling out of the playoff spots, they need all their weapons available down the stretch.

But will we see Keon against Pittsburgh? Josh Allen was coy on the possibility, but made it known he still has faith in his young weapon.

"Yeah, we got to take it one day at a time," Allen said. "He's got to take it one day at a time and making sure we're doing everything possible to be ready for whenever that time is. I haven't lost any faith in him. I have a lot of work, a lot comfortableness with him, and whenever that time is for him, he'll be ready."

Coleman needs to play for Bills

We aren't sure if Keon will take his place on Sunday, with head coach Sean McDermott taking it one day at a time and Allen echoing that sentiment, so Coleman's game-day status is still up in the air.

It is clear the Bills' coaching staff wants to see more from their young receiver before they get him back on the field, but time is running out, and Buffalo needs to start stacking wins because the chasing pack is closing in with the Houston Texans and Steelers just one game back for the seventh seed.

Granted, the Bills won't want to throw Keon out there if he hasn't earned the right, and it appears, at least right now, the coaching staff is on the fence, which tells you all you need to know.

One day at a time. That's the message, and come Sunday, we'll get a much better idea of where Keon stands in relation to Buffalo's desire to play him.
