The Buffalo Bills have been knocking on the door to get to the Super Bowl for quite some with Josh Allen as the quarterback, but that door has not been knocked down yet. At some point, the law of averages may finally come into play and maybe the Bills will finally beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs or just win the AFC in general.
Allen won the MVP last season, and it was the first one in his NFL career. During one of the Hard Knocks episodes, Allen sat down with NFL Network's Kyle Brandt and talked about a potential vision of what a Super Bowl parade would look like in Buffalo, New York. The Bills have never won a Super Bowl title in franchise history. If they ever happen to win one, they made have to build a statue for the star quarterback.
NFL Executive Believes that the Buffalo Bills Need to Win the Super Bowl This Season
Super Bowl LX will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 8, 2026. There are a lot of NFL analysts who are picking the Bills to win the Super Bowl this season. Well, different NFL executives interviewed with Mike Sando of the Athletic about the AFC teams for the upcoming 2025 NFL season.
One NFL executive said about the Bills entering the 2025 season,
"I think Josh Allen is right, dead square in his prime. They have to do it this year. Baltimore is so well-coached and so sound, and Lamar Jackson is explosive. It is a dead heat between those two."
Allen barely beat out Lamar Jackson for the MVP award last season. The Bills star quarterback last season completed 63.6% of his passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 531 yards on 102 carries and 12 touchdowns, along with averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
There is no doubt that this might be the Bills best chance to get to the Super Bowl and potentially win it all. This could be the season that the Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes are on the decline. The Bills' playoff nemesis has been the Chiefs. Buffalo knows how to beat them in the regular season.
Allen performs well in the playoffs, and he is not the reason why Buffalo loses. In order for the Bills to finally win it all, head coach Sean McDermott needs to have his players disciplined and the defense needs to make key stops with the game on the line.
