Josh Allen injury update: Bills QB clears the air over troubled foot image

We often hear of players playing through injury, and in the case of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, most didn't even know the MVP was playing hurt since Week 16.

So, how did we find out?

At Joe Brady's introductory press conference, Allen walked into the building on crutches and in a moon boot.

And speaking to the media, Josh revealed what exactly went on.

"I had a broken little broken bone in there," Allen said. "So, they went and took it out and cleaned it up. Obviously, not ideal situation, painful throughout the weeks, but again, game day, different story, just being able to put that to the side and just go out there and play football."

Bills choose continuity in Brady hire

When you have an MVP quarterback who is in the prime of their career, naturally, you want to make a head coaching hire that will benefit him.

And in Buffalo's case, having the offensive coordinator who was largely responsible for last year's MVP season move into a head-coaching role makes sense.

So, the Bills choose continuity for Allen, but that comes at a cost -- expectations remain the same.

There should be no drop-off in performance from the offense, which was one of the best in football.

So, there are plenty of reasons for Bills Mafia to be bullish on their chances in 2026, and most of them lie at the feet of a first-time head coach.
