Bills' Tyrell Shavers offers incredible insight to Keon Coleman relationship amid benching image

Buffalo Bills receiver Tyrell Shavers was one of the big beneficiaries of Keon Coleman being benched last week in the 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Shavers stepped up with 90 yards and a touchdown from four receptions as the offense didn't miss a beat with Coleman watching on.

But both being second-year receivers, when the news dropped that Coleman was going to be a healthy scratch, that would have no doubt made the locker room sit up and take notice, because standards have to be met.

And for Shavers, who was on the Up&Adams Show with Kay Adams, offered a little insight into his and Keon's relationship.

“I’m the big brother, he’s the little brother in the family,” a smiling Shavers said. “I’m the mature one, he’s like the little brother that plays around, hits you all the time.”

Shavers in line for big game vs. Texans?

Given that tight end Dalton Kincaid and receivers Curtis Samuel and Mecole Hardman are all out, coupled with multiple rumors now stating that Coleman will again be a healthy inactive, all signs point to Shavers having increased opportunities.

The fact that both Shavers and Coleman are in their second year, and Shavers appears to be the sort of player off the field the Bills need, and Coleman is still working to be that person, if Tyrell again impresses and the Bills' offense rolls against the Texans without Keon, we wonder what that would do to the depth chart.

Either way, it appears that Shavers might have just dropped an interesting nugget on Coleman and might have shed light on why the young receiver is having a troubled time of it lately.
