The Buffalo Bills advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs after beating the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-24 on the road.

Yes, Josh Allen put on the Superman cape and led two fourth-quarter touchdown drives to steal Jacksonville's soul.

But No. 17 had help.

It wasn't from James Cook, and it wasn't from Khalil Shakir (although both had their moments); it was from Brandin Cooks. Allen and Cooks connected for a 36-yard gain to set Buffalo up in great field position, and Josh and his quarterback sneaks did the rest.

And for offensive coordinator Joe Brady, he can't help but love what Brandin's done since coming to the team.

“His personality, approach, preparation, how much he takes care of his body, the notes that he takes, what he's doing off the field in drills, he's a leader,” Brady said. “He's made big plays. He's had a couple drops that he obviously wants back, but it doesn't stop us from wanting to continue to get him going. He's added a level to our offense that at times this year we didn't have.

"We're grateful that we were able to get him on our football team.”

Bills face stout Denver team in divisional round

Buffalo will again be on the road at Mile High as Allen and Co. Take on the Denver Broncos.

The Jaguars game was tough, but this will be on another level.

Allen will need to lean on James Cook, Shakir, and even Cooks as the Broncos defense doesn't give up yards easily.

Cooks has been a crucial cog in Buffalo's offense, and while he might not get the huge target numbers, when Allen looks his way, Cooks makes a play.

And in Denver, he'll likely have to do it again.
