There's no denying that Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman isn't progressing the way the franchise wants him to.
Having failed to deliver consistently both on and off the field to the point where he was benched for two games, it has been a learning curve for Coleman in his second season, and against the New England Patriots, his lack of production continued.
The past two weeks have seen Keon post just nine and 16 yards. Against the Patriots, he didn't even register a target.
For some, that sent alarm bells ringing, but offensive coordinator Joe Brady offered what may be the most positive update on Keon we've heard in a while.
“You got a guy coming off of this, a second year, and when he's not getting the targets, it's questioning whether we believe in him, but that's not the case,” Brady said. “There's a reason he was back up and rolling. I still have so much faith and belief in him. I wish I got him the rock a little bit more. He's doing all the right things and deserving of these opportunities.
"He's in the same place as everybody else — we don't give a dang about anything else besides finding a way to win football game, and that's all our focus is.”

Coleman facing big finish to second season
Brady acknowledged he wanted to get Keon and other receivers the ball more on Sunday, and with three games left in the season, there are only a handful of chances Coleman will get in the regular season to show he can be counted on in the playoffs.
Consistency is one thing some young players struggle with, and it is clear Keon is experiencing it.
But perhaps what is more pleasing is to hear Brady speak so glowingly of the young receiver. Whether or not targets come his way, it is clear Coleman is still doing all the right things and that his game is based purely on stats.
Winning football games is the focus for Brady, but maybe getting Keon a catch or two would be beneficial as well.
